Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN, invites you to join its Medical Assistant Apprentice program at St. Mary's Clinic. You will be hired to work while receiving education and certification, with the program paying for the training and a 1-year work commitment after completion.

You will train in patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks within a team-based setting, with coaching, mentorship, and opportunities to grow into a Certified Medical Assistant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CCMA Board Certification within 12 months of completing apprentice education program and meeting on-the-job hours.
• BLS/CPR (AHA) Basic Cardiac Life Support within 3 months of hire; Medcerts training program enrollment planned.

Responsibilities

• Train in patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks.
• Learn collaboratively in a cohort-based program beginning July 2026.
• Support clinicians and patients in a busy clinic setting with guidance and mentorship.
