Job summary

Essentia Health is offering a Medical Assistant Apprentice program at our Park Rapids Clinic. You will be hired to work in primary care while we fund your education and certification as a Medical Assistant, with a 1-year work commitment after course completion.

The program provides hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to core medical assistant skills in a supportive clinical setting, preparing you for a certified role upon completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must enroll in Medcerts training program and pursue CCMA certification.
• BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• CCMA Board Certification required within 12 months of completing apprentice education and on-the-job hours.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to essential medical assistant skills including patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

• Will enroll in the Medcerts training program, advancing through learning modules and acquiring the skills to perform the Clinical Assistant position.

• Upon completion of the apprentice program, CCMA Board Certification is required within 12 months of completing the apprentice education program and meeting the on-the-job hours requirement.
