Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a full-time 40-hour-per-week position in the Glenview Multi Specialty clinic, with a Monday–Friday schedule. The MA will support physicians and nurses, facilitate patient flow, assist with procedures, and maintain clean, safe exam rooms while upholding patient confidentiality.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and certifications such as CMA, RMA, NCCT, CCMA, NHA, or NRCMA within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification options include CMA, RMA, NCCT, CCMA, NHA, NRCMA with onboarding that certification must be attained within six months.
• Strong computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow through the site: escort patients, obtain identifiers, record vitals, update medical history and medications.
• Assist with medical and surgical procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, minor tests).
• Prepare and stock exam rooms, disinfect equipment, manage inventory, and follow opening/closing procedures.
• Interact professionally with patients and care team to promote patient satisfaction and effective care.
• Perform delegated duties and other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
