Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or GED and be eligible for MA certification.
  • American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role preferred.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures efficient patient flow and prepares patients for examination.
  • Assists with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing as directed by Provider.
  • Maintains exam rooms and inventories; cleans and stocks supplies; follows safety protocols.
  • Interacts with patients professionally to promote satisfaction and confidentiality.
  • Performs delegated procedures as outlined in specialty practice addendum.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program
Certification eligibility for MA exams (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, NRCMA)
