Job summary

Access Community Health Network in Illinois is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a mission-driven team delivering quality health services to our community. Qualifications

• Certified CPR/BLS and medical assisting certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience or externship.
• Ability to work evenings and Saturdays.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Epic.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care team to provide health services and resources to meet patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer vaccines.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge through clinical and technical training with Epic EMR.

Position Summary

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification
• Minimum of one (1) year experience or clinical externship
• Basic proficiency withEMR (Epic preferred)
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays

The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
