Job description

Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Lancaster, CA.

TITLE :

Medical Assistant 8689969

LOCATION :

44750- 60th Street West Lancaster, CA 93536

SHIFTS :

Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:30PM

DURATION :

13 weeks with a high chance of extension or possibility of permanent hire

PAYRATE :

$24 / hour W2

DESCRIPTION :

• Administer basic life support in emergency situations to patients, youth, and staff;
• Use medical equipment safely;
• Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections and skin tests;
• Administer eye/ear washes;
• Administer prescribed medications topically, sublingually, and orally;
• Administer basic breathing treatments;
• Remove casts, splints, sutures, and other external devices;
• Collect blood via capillary and venipuncture techniques;
• Collect lab specimens using appropriate collection equipment; label specimens appropriately for evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS :

1. At least 12 months of recent experience performing similar services within the last three years in a public or private institution. Internship does not count.
2. Valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association or American Red Cross (with AED).
4. Documentation of competency validation meeting Title 22, Section 70016 requirements before performing duties for CDCR.
5. Proficiency in English communication for all Temporary/Relief Medical Assistants and Psychiatric Technicians.

E-Verify :

All employees must pass the E-Verify employment eligibility check, which compares provided information with DHS and SSA records.

Candidates will need to submit personal documents, pass a drug test, background check, and have recent immunizations, TB test, etc.

Note :

As a contractor, benefits differ from direct hire. You will receive 5 paid sick days after 90 days and have options for Kaiser Healthcare and Delta Dental.
