Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care and support with a range of procedures and tests. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, administering injections, drawing blood, and assisting with gynecological exams and office visits.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with six months of MA/PCT experience or completion of a related program. CPR/BLS may be required within six months for Rural Health clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
• BLS/CPR within 6 months of hire for Rural Health Designation clinics.
• Completion of MA/EMT/Nurse aide/LPN/medic tech program required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with a variety of procedures and tests.
• Administer injections and venipuncture; perform EKGs, PFTs, immunizations, and blood draws.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with gynecological exams and office visits.
• Document interventions and patient responses in charts or EMR.
• Support clerical duties to maintain efficient operations.
