Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care in Homestead, FL is hiring a Medical Assistant 2 reporting to Supervisor, Central Administration. You will be the first contact for patient care, handling administrative and clinical tasks onsite.

Duties include taking vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and documenting in the EMR. You will prepare exam rooms and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communication
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana’s TB screening program.

Responsibilities

• Perform Clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines; includes phlebotomy and collecting specimens.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within certification limits.
