Job summary

Humana is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 for an outpatient care site in Leesburg, FL. This temporary contractor role is filled through Atrium and involves both administrative tasks and direct patient care as the first point of contact.

Responsibilities include gathering patient information, taking vitals, administering injections, recording data in the EMR, and supporting physicians and nurses. The role requires state licensure (RMA/CMA), CPR, and experience in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care.
• Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA).
• Current CPR certification.
• Less than 2 years of Professional leadership experience.
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment.
• Experience with MS Outlook.
• Basic Computer knowledge.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Gathers symptoms and inputs data into EMR; takes vitals; administers injections.
• Performs diagnostic tests and collects specimens; draws blood.
• Maintains examination rooms and supports physicians and nurses.
• Performs administrative duties and other clerical tasks.
