Job summary

Humana is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 for a temporary contractor role assigned to Atrium at an Orlando site. You will be the first point of contact for patient care, handling both administrative duties and patient care tasks.

The position requires 1-3 years of MA experience, state licensure (RMA/CMA), CPR, and proficiency with EMR systems. Candidate must be a team player in a fast-paced setting and bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in back-office direct patient care.
• Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA).
• Current CPR certification.
• Less than 2 years of Professional leadership experience.
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment.
• Experience with MS Outlook.
• Basic Computer knowledge.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for patient care and administrative duties.
• Clinical duties include discussing symptoms, inputting data into EMR, taking vital signs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Collaborates with Physicians and Nurses and maintains examination rooms.
• Follows policies; works with some discretion within defined parameters.
• TB screening compliance and safety protocols.
