Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 to be the first contact for patient care, performing both clinical and administrative duties onsite. You will discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer vaccines and medications, and support patient flow in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen collection, EMR documentation, equipment sterilization, and collaboration with physicians and APs. Strong English/Spanish communication skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent CPR Certified

Responsibilities

• Perform Clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
