Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 to serve as the first point of contact for patient care, performing both administrative tasks and clinical duties. The role includes vital signs, vaccine administration, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and EMR documentation.

You will work closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, following established policies while maintaining patient safety and quality standards in a semi-routine, patient-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patient care and perform administrative duties as needed
• Clinical duties include obtaining vital signs, vaccine/medication administration, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and diagnostic screening tests
• Document information into the electronic medical records system and maintain examination rooms
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers and follow area/department policies
