First Urology in Louisville-area clinics seeks a Medical Assistant to support a busy urology practice. You will manage patient flow, document histories in EMR, and perform urology-specific tests and injections under physician supervision.

Requirements include Medical Terminology, Vital Signs, BLS, EMR experience, and 1+ year outpatient experience; additional lab specimen experience and AAMA/RMA/EMT certifications are preferred. Competitive benefits and professional development offered.

Qualifications

Position Summary:

A Medical Assistant (MA) at First Urology serves as a critical intermediary between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring the efficient operation of a specialized urological clinical environment. This role combines administrative precision with clinical proficiency, requiring the assistant to manage patient flow, document medical histories within Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and perform diagnostic tests specific to urological health. Certification is preferred but not required.

• Updating and filing patient medical records
• Filling out insurance forms
• Scheduling appointments
• Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services
