The role supports clinical and front-desk operations, including patient transport, specimen collection, documentation, and EMR-based workflows.

Responsibilities span assisting with procedures, medication administration under supervision, inventory management, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Current Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant training school (PA/NJ/DE).
  • Patient pill counts, updating imaging from patient into system, and calling facilities for reports.
  • Current CPR license.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a healthcare practice or hospital.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Cross-train to cover front desk as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to and from the exam/procedure rooms
  • Collect urine specimens at each visit, and process according to visit guidelines.
  • Record patient information such as vital signs, height and weight and changes in medical history at each appointment.
  • Medication Reconciliation in EMR
  • Communicate to providers using the EMR to change the status of the room patients are assigned and do verbal handoff to providers on patient status prior to the visit.
  • Assist providers with minor procedures.
  • Collecting and updating patient HX and medical records.
  • Clean, stock and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments.
  • Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the office.
  • Assist the office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed
  • Administer medications under the supervision and direction of the provider.
  • Prepares equipment for sterilization.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice.
  • Always practice good customer service in all situations.
  • Occasional travel between offices is required for cross coverage of our Practice locations.
  • Will be cross trained to cover the front desk when needed
Compensation

$18.00 per hour, DOE

Schedule

8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Benefits
  • 14 days paid accrued leave per year@ an accrual rate of 4.3 hours bi-weekly (this calculation includes 5 sick days), eligible after your 90-day probationary period.
  • Medical/Dental/Vision employee responsibility 1/3 of premium. Eligible after 60 days
  • 6 Company paid Holidays eligible after 90 days . Eligible after 60 days.
  • Your Birthday (must complete 90 days)
  • 5 scrub tops and a fleece jacket (after 90 days).
Position Requirements
