Job summary

ExperCARE in Tuscaloosa, AL is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered clinic. You will perform triage, take vital signs, conduct EKGs, do venipuncture, and support providers with procedures in a fast-paced environment.

We value exceptional customer service, flexible availability, and team-oriented care. Certified or licensed Medical Assistants (or eligible) are encouraged to apply; prior clinical experience is preferred as we grow together.

Qualifications

• Certified or licensed medical assistant or eligible for certification/licensure.
• Prior clinical experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage, vital signs, and patient history.
• Conduct EKGs and rapid lab testing.
• Venipuncture and administer injections.
• Assist providers with procedures and patient care.
• Manage patient call-backs and provide education.
• Set up and assist with sterile procedures.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and supplies.
• Support occupational medicine services (drug screens, breath alcohol testing, etc.).
• Contribute to a positive, efficient, and patient-centered clinic environment.
