Job description

Overview:

Somerset Gynecology & Obstetrics, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing medical team. The Medical Assistant embraces a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction. This role ensures each patient's encounter is professional, warm, and caring while meeting the patient's individual needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record
2. Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness
3. Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals
4. Set up diagnostic and/or treatment equipment as needed
5. Administer injections
6. Complete documentation related to patient's medical record, test requests, medications, and patient education accurately and timely
7. Assist the physician as directed
8. Work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications:

1. Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program required
2. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred
3. At least 1 year of experience in a medical office
4. Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology required
5. Previous experience in an OBGYN office preferred
