Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our California clinic. You will work with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients, performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, medical records, billing and coding support, patient education, vital signs, phlebotomy as needed, and collaboration with providers to support work injury care and employer services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling appointments, manage patient records and billing/coding tasks.
• Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries.
• Verify insurance coverage and process claims.
• Perform basic clinical tasks: vital signs and medication administration.
• Assist providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood, and other duties.
• Maintain back office and exam room cleanliness and organization.
• Provide patient education and address questions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Assist with medical procedures as needed.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, hours TBD between 7am and 7pm

Compensation: Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
• Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries

• Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
• Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
• Providing patient education and answering patient questions
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
• Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
