Job description

Overview:

Women First OBGYN Center, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing medical team. The Medical Assistant is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction, ensuring each patient's encounter is professional, warm, and caring while meeting individual needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record
2. Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness
3. Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals
4. Set up diagnostic and/or treatment equipment
5. Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed
6. Complete documentation related to patient's medical record, test requests, medications, and patient education accurately and promptly
7. May perform scribe duties
8. Assist the physician as directed
9. Work well in a team environment

Qualifications:

1. Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required
2. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred
3. At least 1 year of experience in a medical office
4. Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required
5. Previous experience at an OBGYN office is preferred
