Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians across clinics in Manhattan and the Bronx. The role requires being National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant, and bilingual in Spanish and English, with weekend availability.

Your responsibilities include greeting patients, taking vitals, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and documenting in EMR/EHR. You will work in a fast-paced, patient-first environment with career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar role, required.
• Experience performing vital signs, rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Completion of MA training program; CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in fast-paced settings, required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients to ensure a welcoming experience.
• Document vital signs, medical histories, and other data in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection within scope.
• Accurately document patient interactions in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional service while managing high patient volume in a fast-paced clinic.

• Leverage bilingual communication to support patient interactions when applicable.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Location: This is a float role, candidate must be able to commute to clinics based in Manhattan / Bronx (Will review clinics during the interview)
• Schedule: Full-time, hours vary between 7am-7pm; must be able to work weekends.
• This position requires to be National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant.
• Spanish and English speaking required.
• Compensation: $20-$24/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment,required.
