US Heart and Vascular seeks a Medical Assistant / Medical Front Office Specialist to join HeartPlace in Plano, TX. The role covers medical front and back office duties, from patient interviews and vital signs to diagnostic testing and chart management.

Responsibilities include rooming patients promptly, coordinating testing, performing injections and basic lab tests, and assisting with check-in/check-out while handling calls and messages in the EMR system (eCW).

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Cardiac experience preferred.
• Medical Front office experience.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in charts.
• Work with medical assistant tech to ensure patients are roomed promptly.
• Operates EKG, treadmill, and other equipment for routine diagnostic tests.
• Fill out testing orders per physician orders and send prescriptions as directed.
• Escort patients through check-out and manage avoi telefonically and messaging tasks.
• Travel may be required to satellite clinics and prepare travel bags.

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant / Medical Front Office Specialist to join our team at HeartPlace located in Plano, TXPosition Summary: This position will be responsible for Medical Front and Back Office duties.Responsibilities:• Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients’ charts.• Work with the medical assistant tech to ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner• Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test• Fill out testing orders per physician• Send out prescriptions per physician orders• Orders & explain testing to the patient• Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests• Set up procedures with hospitals to include filling out hospital form and faxing them back• Review procedure and instructions with the patient• Escort patients to check-out• Check voicemails & enter messages into eCW• Return patient calls/tasks, even if only to acknowledge receipt of the voicemail, and that an answer is being sought• Ensure that charts have been checked, and the proper paperwork is included• Travel required· Prepare bag for travel to satellite clinics• Support check in and Check-out process• Other related duties as assignedRequirements:• Completion of a Medical Assistant program• Cardiac Experience preferred• Medical Front office experienceWhy Choose Us?Comprehensive benefits packageMonday-Friday scheduleCME allowanceAbout Dallas/Fort Worth, TX:Dallas/Fort Worth, known as the Metroplex, offers a vibrant urban life and peaceful suburban living, making it an enticing place to reside.
