As a Medical Assistant at Dignity Health Medical Group, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you will ensure smooth daily operations for patients and the clinical team. Your role involves proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is current, and managing multiple patients daily depending on physician availability. Success in this role is driven by enthusiasm, efficiency, and empathy, regardless of previous healthcare experience. The Medical Assistant II provides basic patient care and treatments.
Dignity Health offers an Education Benefit program for eligible employees after 180 days, providing debt relief and student loan assistance. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years; part-time employees up to $9,000.
High school diploma or equivalent, completed a Medical Assistant Program, or armed forces medical training. Candidates with prior experience before February 2, 2000, can meet requirements with evidence of 2000 hours supervised practice.
Experience with computer programs for check-in and scheduling is required.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.
