Job summary

InnovaCare Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks across Florida clinics. You will assist with exams, manage patient intake, and maintain exam rooms while delivering friendly, efficient service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of direct patient care, and a calm, team‑oriented demeanor. Bilingual English/Spanish and CMA/RMA certification are preferred.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) role supports clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with medical procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations, including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, reviewing medications and medical history, allergies, and performing all ancillary tests required.
• Assists providers during patient examination, procedures, and treatment.
• Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.
• Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).
• Comply with all OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year experience of direct clinical patient care in a healthcare setting.
• Team spirit, a calm demeanor, and a passion for people.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified in AED & CPR
• At least 5 years as a certified medical assistant
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• CMA/RMA certification
