InnovaCare Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative functions in our Florida clinics. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, and exam preparation while ensuring a high level of patient service.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of direct clinical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CMA/RMA certification is a plus. E-Verify participation is noted in our employment process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of direct clinical patient care experience.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.

Our teams live and work in the same neighborhoods as our patients, and that connection fuels our mission.Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant (MA) role supports clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with medical procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.Essential Job FunctionsGreet patients and prepare them for physical examinations, including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, reviewing medications and medical history, allergies, and performing all ancillary tests required.Assists providers during patient examination, procedures, and treatment.Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).Comply with all OSHA and CLIA regulations.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.At least one (1) year experience of direct clinical patient care in a healthcare setting.Team spirit, a calm demeanor, and a passion for people.Preferred Qualifications:Certified in AED & CPRAt least 5 years as a certified medical assistantBilingual in English/SpanishCMA/RMA certificationThe information listed above is not comprehensive of all duties/responsibilities performed.
