InnovaCare Health in Florida is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative functions across our clinics. You will assist with medical procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and help ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

The role requires a Medical Assistant Certificate (or equivalent) and a high school diploma. Preferred candidates may have AED/CPR certification, 5+ years of experience, and bilingual

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: AED & CPR certification.
• Preferred: 5 years as a certified medical assistant.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and prep patients for examinations, including obtaining vital signs and reviewing medical history.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Manage patient histories, routine lab procedures, and specimen preparation for transport.
• Follow up on test orders and relay results to providers and patients; provide patient education materials.
• Maintain patient EMR and ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Order clinical supplies and maintain medical equipment.

Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA) role supports clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with medical procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations, including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, reviewing medications and medical history, allergies, and performing all ancillary tests required.
• Assists providers during patient examination, procedures, and treatment.
• Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.
• Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).
• Comply with all OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant Certificate issued by an accredited institution approved by the State licensed to work, or at least (1) year experience working in a health care setting that includes direct patient contact
• High school graduate or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified in AED & CPR
• At least 5 years as a certified medical assistant
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
