Job summary

InnovaCare Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Florida clinics. The MA will support clinical and administrative tasks, greet patients, assist with exams, and maintain EMR records.

The role requires patient-focused care, adherence to OSHA/CLIA, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced setting. Preferred candidates hold a Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience, and may offer bilingual English/Spanish capabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• AED & CPR certification preferred; 5 years MA experience; bilingual English/Spanish nice to have

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare for physical examinations, including vitals and history.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Record patient histories, collect labs, and prepare specimens for transport.
• Follow up on test orders and communicate results to providers and patients; provide patient education materials.
• Maintain and update patient EMR; ensure OSHA/CLIA compliance; perform other duties as assigned.

Our teams live and work in the same neighborhoods as our patients, and that connection fuels our mission.Job SummaryThe Certified Medical Assistant (MA) role supports clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with medical procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.Essential Job Functions· Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations, including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, reviewing medications and medical history, allergies, and performing all ancillary tests required.· Assists providers during patient examination, procedures, and treatment.· Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.· Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.· Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).· Comply with all OSHA and CLIA regulations.· Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:· Medical Assistant Certificate issued by an accredited institution approved by the State licensed to work, or at least (1) year experience working in a health care setting that includes direct patient contact· High school graduate or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:· Certified in AED & CPR· At least 5 years as a certified medical assistant· Bilingual in English/SpanishInnovacare participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
