Job summary

Community Care Physicians' Albany Family Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to support busy clinical operations. You will document conversations, prepare patients, obtain specimens, assist with examinations, and help maintain patient flow throughout the day.

The requirements include a high school diploma and prior medical/clinical experience; Medical Assistant certification and phlebotomy exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical/clinical experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and confidentiality skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with medical charting and Allscripts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Document verbal conversations and input into patient records accurately.
  • Maintain timely patient flow throughout the day.
  • Prepare patients for visits based on office/provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (urine, blood, etc.) as directed by the provider.
  • Enter orders accurately into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures (e.g., EKG, PFT) as directed.
  • Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Albany Family Medicine

is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, or 8:30am-5:00pm.

This position is eligible for up to a $1,000.00 recruitment and retention bonus!!

Responsibilities:
  • Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
  • Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
  • Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

CCP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
  • Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
