Job summary

Albany Family Medicine in Albany, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. The role supports patient flow, prepares patients for visits, and documents conversations into patient records. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (or 8:30am to 5:00pm).

Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, with a recruitment/retention bonus up to $1,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior medical/clinical experience and MA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidentiality.
• Experience with Allscripts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately and timely.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patients for visits based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (e.g., urine, blood) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Enter orders accurately into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures (e.g., EKG, PFT) as directed by the provider.
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are:

This position is eligible for up to a $1,000.00 recruitment and retention bonus!!

Responsibilities:

• Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
