North Austin Pediatrics is seeking Medical Assistants to join our Leander office. Since 1997, we pride ourselves on offering a caring, personalized approach while being committed to the highest quality of care, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. We serve the Austin area with offices in Cedar Park and Leander.

The ideal candidate will work in a clinical environment assisting providers in treating patients. They will serve as the first line of patient support, preparing patients for visits with the Provider, whether ill or well.

Core Duties
  1. Monitor patient flow from arrival through rooming patients and checking vitals
  2. Assist providers by performing lab swabs, administering vaccinations, and other procedures
  3. Perform routine laboratory work in the office
  4. Clean and prepare exam rooms for the next patient by sterilizing instruments and restocking supplies
  5. Call patients with routine lab results
  6. Complete lab requisitions and prepare specimens for testing
  7. Review laboratory reports in charts after physician review
  8. Perform additional administrative duties related to patient care

  1. Ability to employ tact, diplomacy, and compassion with patients
  2. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  5. Well organized and punctual
Hours
  1. Full Time
  2. Monday through Friday, 7:45 am - 5:15 pm, with one Saturday morning every 4-6 weeks from 7:40 am - 12:00 pm

Minimum Requirements

The candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and relate well to children. The shift is Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:15 pm, with one Saturday morning every 4-6 weeks from 7:40 am to 12:00 pm. Clinical courses, graduation from an accredited medical assistant school, certification, or prior clinical experience are preferred but not required.
