Responsibilities

• Proper intake of patients (history and chief complaint)
• Documenting during exams on our EMR system
• Assisting with medical procedures such as sutures removal, administering local anesthetic, and applying patches for allergy testing and transcribing reactions
• Delivering patient education and documentation on disease, wound care, medications, and pathology reports
• Handling prior authorizations for medications and sending prescriptions to pharmacies
• Scheduling follow-up appointments
• Responding promptly to patient messages (within 24 hours)
• Completing start and end of day tasks
• Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• EMR experience and proficiency in various software packages
• Graduate of an approved school or at least 1 year of Clinical Medical Assistant experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Organization, punctuality, professionalism, and a polished appearance
• Eagerness to grow and learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to different provider styles
• Compassion and dedication to patient care
• May be required to assist in local clinics
• Salary range: $16.00-$21.00 per hour, based on experience
• Certification not required
