Full-time position available with the Health Department, Communicable Disease Prevention Division located at 2400 Troost Ave.

Starting Salary: $17.35/hourly.

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Hours may change according to clinic schedule.

Responsibilities

1. Provides clinical/clerical office support to Registered Nurses and the Administrative Assistant.
2. Supports clinic by going to patients' homes to observe them take their medications.
3. Obtains/processes patient specimens.
4. Manages charts to ensure information is completed/filed appropriately.
5. Assists with maintenance of inventory supplies/pharmaceuticals.

Qualifications

REQUIRES: high school graduation and 1 year of experience in a clinical health setting performing medical assistant duties; OR completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must pass a preemployment drug screen.

Non-residents appointed to the position must obtain residency within Kansas City, Missouri's limits within nine months.
