Job description

As a Medical Assistant, you will support the needs of patients, ensure an efficient workflow, and assist physicians in all aspects of medical procedures—before, during, and after. You will also aim to provide patients with an excellent service experience.

This position is Part-Time, every other Monday and Tuesday only. Must be able to commute to Kansas City and Overland Park.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with forms as needed.
2. Familiarize yourself with clinic computer hardware and software, and use according to company policies.
3. Schedule appointments, including rescheduling and transportation arrangements.
4. Perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and faxing.
5. Address patient needs at all times and answer questions.
6. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of procedure rooms.
7. Assist during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures per doctor’s instructions and preferences.
8. Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward.
9. Provide post-procedure instructions and medication guidance as needed.
10. Monitor and replenish supply levels.
11. Train new staff as required.
12. Assist ultrasound staff when necessary.
13. Transport supplies or equipment as needed.
14. Work varying hours and overtime as required.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Medical Assistant Certification: CMA, RMA, or CCMA is a plus.
2. High School Diploma or GED required.
3. At least 1 year of relevant experience.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
5. Must be able to commute to Kansas City and Overland Park on a part-time schedule.
