This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.

We have an immediate full-time opening for an experienced and dedicated Medical Assistant at our Pembroke Pines, FL office, working M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with 2 weekend days per month and holiday rotation in the Margate office.

How You'll Contribute

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for:

  • High volume of phlebotomy and maintaining supplies for blood drawing stations
  • Ensuring lab specimens are sent to proper labs
  • Documenting patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
  • Utilizing the computer for entering labs and printing labels
  • Assisting physicians or ultrasound technicians with various procedures
  • Assisting with HSGs as needed, taking vital signs, and providing general clinical assistance
  • Assisting with the clinical care of fertility patients
  • Providing patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, and communicating physician orders and instructions
  • Providing pre- and post-op education
  • Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
  • Working independently to ensure program goals are achieved
  • Supporting and promoting excellence in customer service
What You'll Bring

The skills and education we need are:

  • Completion of a formal MA or Phlebotomy program preferred or 5 years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high comfort with computer applications, accuracy, and speed with data entry
  • Minimum of one year of prior healthcare experience and familiarity with medical terminology
