Job summary

Lanai Community Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support quality patient care and routine clinical tasks on a full-time basis in Hawaii.

The role involves contributing to teaching and research initiatives while engaging with diverse patient care activities and workshop participation to support the organization's mission.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience performing Medical Assistant duties.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic clinical tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care as a Medical Assistant.
  • Support clinical operations and routine medical tasks.
  • Participate in workshops, education sessions, and outreach activities.
  • Contribute to teaching and research initiatives at LCHC.

Role Overview

As a key contributor to the Lanai Community Health Center, the incumbent in this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the effective operation of the organization. As a Medical Assistant, your responsibilities are central to the provision of quality patient care. Beyond routine medical assisting duties, you will actively participate in the multifaceted nature of LCHC's role as a patient care, teaching, and research organization. This role requires a dynamic and flexible approach to contribute comprehensively to the diverse activities of LCHC.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience in performing Medical Assistant responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic clinical tasks.
