Job summary

Hawaii Pacific Health is hiring a Medical Assistant at the Kaua'i Medical Clinic in Kapaa to join a team of physicians and staff delivering primary and specialty care. You will support patient care for all ages and help ensure high-quality, attentive service in a busy clinic.

The position is full-time (FTE 1.0) with a day shift. Minimum qualifications include an MA program completion, MA certification/registration, and BLS CPR, as well as successful orientation competency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with major MA organizations or ARMA.
• Current BLS CPR card.

Kaua'i Medical Clinic is the island’s largest clinic and only multispecialty medical group. More than 85 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care at clinic locations in Eleele, Kapaa, Koloa and Lihue.

The Kapa'a Clinic provides family practice and internal medicine on the east side of the island. Family physicians possess unique skills and knowledge, which qualifies them to provide comprehensive medical care, health maintenance and preventive services to each family member. These specialists, because of their background and interaction with the family, are best qualified to serve as the patient's advocate in all health-related matters, including the appropriate use of consultants, health services and community resources.

As a Medical Assistant, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff the provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the National Association For Health Professionals (NAFHP), the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.
