Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is seeking a full-time Clinic Medical Assistant for the Franciscan Medical Clinic - St. Anthony in Gig Harbor, WA. We are looking for a motivated individual to support our fast-paced clinic in a team-based environment. About Your Position:

As a Medical Assistant, you will work as part of a care team to provide care and support to patients under the supervision of a physician or mid-level provider. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and preparing patients for their visits by obtaining and recording vital signs, height, weight, drug allergies, current medications, and presenting problems.
• Assisting with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures such as blood draws, skin tests, and injections.
• Administering medications and vaccinations.
• Managing patient flow and ensuring enough time for patient and family education.
• Preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining equipment, and keeping patient care areas clean and organized.
• Scheduling patient appointments and performing administrative duties as needed.
• Participating in continuing education, meetings, and committees as required.
• Performing medical scribe duties under supervision, in compliance with FMG Medical Scribe Program Policy.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program.
• Preferred: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified license.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
