Job summary

Gastro One is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant/Recovery Room Tech to support our gastroenterology team. The role emphasizes rapid room turnover, coordinating duties under RN supervision, and safeguarding patient information while ensuring comfort for procedures.

You will work in a clinical setting with emphasis on safety, supplies management, and equipment maintenance; the candidate should have a high school diploma and BLS certification, with CMA/PCT/CNA training preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CMA, PCT or CNA training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Turn over rooms
• Coordinates clinical duties as assigned by RN.
• Secures patient information and confidentiality of records.
• Ensures a safe and compliant work environment by following standards and regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Maintains equipment by following operating instructions; troubleshooting; maintenance; repairs.
• Keeps knowledge current through education and reading professional publications.
• Adheres to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Adheres to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited CMA, PCT or CNA program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• BLS required.
