Job summary

BayCity Associates in Podiatry seeks a Medical Assistant to join our Meadville, PA office. The role encompasses clinical functions in a physician’s office, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with treatments, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant medical records.

The ideal candidate will have minimum medical field education; a graduate of a health program is preferred, with medical office experience as a possible substitute.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs and prepare rooms between visits.
• Assist physician with treatments and procedures.
• Maintain medical information in accordance with HIPAA laws.
• File patient information, answer phones, schedule patients as needed.
• Maintain and order supplies, restock rooms.
• Obtain patient histories and vitals.
• Assist patients from waiting room to exam room as needed.

We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team as a Medical Assistant in our Meadville, PA office.

This position will include all clinical functions in a physician’s office.

To include but not limited to:

• rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, cleaning rooms and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control.
• Assisting the physician with treatments
• maintaining medical information in accordance with all HIPPA laws.
• filing patient information, answer phones, scheduling patients as needed.
• maintaining and ordering supplies, restocking rooms
• obtaining histories and vitals from patients
• Assist patients as needed from waiting room to preparing for doctor visit (push wheelchair, help remove or apply socks/shoes if patient is unable to).

MINIMUM EDUCATION IN THE MEDICAL FIELD, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Preferred graduate of a health program, however medical office experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Must be able to communicate with patients, staff and physicians.
