Medical Assistant

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care throughout their treatment journey.

Hours & Compensation

Part‑time opportunity. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8‑5, with a one hour lunch break. The candidate will be taking a part time position with benefits. No weekend work.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Triage – escort patients to exam rooms, measuring and recording patient vital signs.
  • Patient History – taking and documenting patient medical histories including current medications and allergies.
  • Assist with exams and procedures – assist providers during exams, during pre‑op calls/exams, and help with various medical procedures such as wound care and injections.
  • Testing – collect urine samples for toxicology screening, drawing blood samples for lab testing.
  • Sterilization/Disinfection – properly cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment and instruments, sterilize exam rooms between patients.
  • Cleanliness – maintain clean, organized clinic area.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Scheduling – coordinating with front desk staff to ensure proper scheduling blocks with providers.
  • Record Keeping – maintaining and updating patient records including electronic health records (EHRs), assist with clinic notes as directed by provider.
  • Patient Flow – managing patient flow during clinic hours.
  • Referrals – coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals.
  • Communication – communicating with patients and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Office duties – general office duties such as greeting patients, keeping inventory of various medical supplies, including DME kept on‑site, and inform management when supplies are low and need to be ordered.
  • Physician Orders – inputting physician‑ordered prescriptions for medication, DME and testing.
  • Patient education – providing basic patient education on condition(s), treatment plan, usage and fit for DME.
  • Patient safety – ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and comfortable with computer use.
  • Ability to use regular office machines such as copy/scan/fax machine and mulit‑line phones.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task
  • Professional, dependable and patient‑focused attitude.
  • Previous experience with EHR systems and/or medical office preferred.
