Job summary

Avance Care is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join a busy clinical team in the Raleigh area. You will support a single provider, ensuring efficient patient flow and compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, vaccines, data recording, and preparing treatment rooms. Certifications such as CMA/CCMA/RMA/EMT and at least one year of MA experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• CMA, CCMA, RMA or EMT certification preferred; or relevant credential.
• Minimum one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute medications as ordered by the provider.

Candidates should preferably have one of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT, along with at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
