Job summary

Avance Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our growing network of primary care clinics in North Carolina. You will work closely with providers to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy clinical setting, with 12-hour weekday shifts and rotating weekends.

This role requires CMA/CCMA/RMA or EMT certification and at least one year of Medical Assistant experience; comprehensive benefits are offered after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.

• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in delivering high-quality patient care. Working closely with our providers, you’ll help ensure every patient has a positive, efficient, and compassionate healthcare experience.

Position Highlights:

Selected Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms
• Triage patients as necessary
• Administer vaccines and injections
• Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit
• Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures
• Administer medications
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider

Candidates should preferably have one of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT, along with at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
