Job summary

First Flight Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting histories form the core of the role.

The successful candidate will perform injections, EKGs, venipuncture, lab testing, and EMR documentation while helping manage patient flow and follow-up care. A strong team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant certification.
• Preferred: EMR experience.
• Preferred: 0-2 years of clinical experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, updating histories.
• Assisting with procedures and exams.
• Performing injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab tests.
• Documenting patient information in the EMR.
• Coordinating patient flow and supporting providers.
• Educating patients and follow-up care.
• Maintaining exam rooms, supplies and equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting providers and delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical histories

Assisting with procedures and exams

Performing clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing

Documenting patient information in the EMR

Coordinating patient flow and supporting providers

Educating patients and supporting follow-up care

Maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and equipment

Additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience
