Job summary

Premise Health Inc. in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to provide care to employees and dependents in our Health Center. The role blends clinical tasks with front desk duties, and phlebotomy experience is a plus.

You will interview patients, take vital signs, maintain records, prepare rooms, administer medications, and support scheduling and supplies. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with hands-on externship (premise-approved).
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience as Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records for accuracy.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and perform tests and EKGs per state rules.
• Support front desk: scheduling, calls, orders for supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Dayton, OH. We're looking for a dependable multitasker who enjoys a mix of clinical and front desk responsibilities to join our amazing team. Experience with phlebotomy is a plus! The scheduled hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm and Wednesday, 10:00am-7:00pm.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
