Job summary

The HealthCare Connection (THCC) in Mt. Healthy, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nurses delivering high-quality care to children and adolescents. You will prepare patients for exams, record vitals, assist with procedures, and help ensure smooth clinic operations.

This position offers a stable weekday schedule with no weekends or evenings, a tieredMedical Assistant progression, and opportunities to contribute to a mission-driven team serving the community.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program.
• Active CPR certification.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in community health nursing setting or private physician practice.
• Experience working with electronic health records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assisting providers with direct patient care including interviewing the patient and documenting vitals and medical concerns.
• Conducting requested screening/tests.
• Drawing blood and administering shots to patients.
• Responding to telephone inquiries.
• Maintaining equipment and supplies in exam rooms and office.
• Completing encounter forms and code as necessary.
• Conducting referrals for patients.
• Performing other duties necessary to provide excellent patient care to the patients and to support our providers.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience working with electronic health records, or proven computer skills a must
• Excellent communication and customer service
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and relate to persons from diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds
• Experience working with persons of diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds is a plus.

Medical Assistant Levels
This role is part of our Medical Assistant tier system, which includes:
Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), and Senior Medical Assistant levels. Placement is based on experience, certification, and qualifications.
