Job summary

First Flight Health Centers in Dayton, OH is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join a mission-driven team dedicated to patient-centered care.

You will room patients, take vital signs, assist with procedures, perform injections and EKGs, and document in the EMR while supporting providers and patient flow. Fluency in Spanish is required and a MA program completion or 3 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Fluent in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories.
• Assist with procedures and exams.
• Perform injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing.
• Document patient information in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow and support providers.

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting providers and delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical histories

Assisting with procedures and exams

Performing clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing

Documenting patient information in the EMR

Coordinating patient flow and supporting providers

Educating patients and supporting follow-up care

Maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and equipment

Additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience

CPR certification

Strong computer and communication skills

Fluent in Spanish

Preferred:

Medical Assistant certification

EMR experience

0–2 years of clinical experience

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
