Job description

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Join to apply for the Medical Assistant role at Dayton Children's Hospital.

This position performs both clinical and clerical functions within the clinic. Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing routine clinical skills such as taking vital signs, weight, height, and assisting with procedures.
  2. Documenting in EPIC efficiently to ensure timely provider notes and encounter closures.
  3. Managing patient flow, chaperoning, stocking rooms, and ordering tests and supplies.
  4. Providing delegated services as assigned by RNs, nurse practitioners, or physicians.
  5. Collaborating with department personnel to maintain smooth patient flow and high-quality customer service.
Facility & Department

Dayton Children's - Main Campus, Rheumatology/Allergy Clinic

Schedule & Hours

Part-time, 20 hours/week

Qualifications
  • HSD/GED required; completion of a Medical Assisting program is mandatory.
  • CPR certification preferred at hire; must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.
Education & Certification
  • Associates degree or equivalent, High School diploma required.
  • CPR from the American Heart Association preferred.
