Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for a leading healthcare network in the Cincinnati area. The role supports physicians in patient examinations, manages patient flow, and handles documentation and routine tests.

Responsibilities include EMR data entry, phlebotomy, and coordinating appointments while maintaining confidentiality and high safety standards. A valid MA credential or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Strong computer, communication, and clinical skills.
• BLS certification required.
• Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination and treatment under physician supervision.
• Maintain patient flow and document reviewing vital signs, medical history, and meds.
• Record patient information in EMR and prepare charts by scanning and reviewing records.
• Obtain diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other records from outside facilities.
• Process medication refills and pre-authorizations, communicating with patients and pharmacies.
• Maintain patient samples, medications, dispose of expired meds, and order supplies.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Gather pertinent medical information to support decision-making per office protocols.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in/out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets and related office tasks.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other equipment for routine tests.
• Perform clinical duties like phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with safety, quality, and patient experience standards.
• Assist training new staff or oversee work queues as needed.
