Summary
The Medical Assistant performs administrative and clinical tasks within our clinic, working under the supervision of a physician or Mid-Level Provider and the Clinic Manager. They help maintain organization and ensure efficient clinic operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Operate within the scope of practice for Medical Assistants.
  2. Manage patient flow, assist with provider schedules, and communicate delays.
  3. Prepare for visits by reviewing medical records and test results; document patient information accurately.
  4. Identify patients using two identifiers, take vitals, conduct patient intake, assist during encounters, and provide discharge education.
  5. Assist providers with procedures, prepare exam rooms, and obtain consent.
  6. Administer medications as directed, educate patients, and obtain necessary consents.
  7. Perform minor procedures like ECGs and document procedures appropriately.
Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Medical assisting education or related training, preferred
  2. Familiarity with electronic health records systems, preferred
  3. Healthcare experience required
Special Conditions of Employment
  1. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
