Job summary

Dayton Gastroenterology is seeking a full-time LPN to join our Beavercreek clinic. The role requires prior LPN experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and a current AHA BLS/CPR certification. Enjoy a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current LPN license required.
• Previous experience working as an LPN in a medical office preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Measure vital signs and document in the patient chart.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis as applicable.
• Obtain and record patient health history.
• Assist the physician with office visits and emergencies.
• Manage patient prescriptions and referrals as directed by the physician.
• Answer patient questions and coordinate scheduling for visits and tests.

Snapshot of Daily Duties

• Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient's chart.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
• Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits. Must be able to assist physician in an emergency.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions. Notify patients of test results
• Assist with scheduling office visits, procedures, laboratory tests, x-rays, outpatient testing, hospital admissions and appointments as necessary.

The Must Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current LPN license required.
• Previous experience working as an LPN required.
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS certified required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
