Job summary

US Fertility is seeking a Medical Assistant to join Shady Grove Fertility in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM ET, with occasional weekends/holidays.

You will perform phlebotomy, assist with patient care, and support lab processes to ensure smooth fertility treatments. Ideal candidates have strong phlebotomy skills, a healthcare background, and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience and skills.
• High School diploma.
• Formal MA program completion preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail with data entry accuracy and speed.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform high volume phlebotomy.
• Maintain supplies for blood drawing stations.
• Administer injections.
• Assist with clinical care of fertility patients.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Provide patient/couple counseling and procedure teaching.
• Provide pre- and post-op education.
• Perform semen washes and IUIs setup.
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
• Enter labs and print labels in the computer system.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families.
• Work independently to meet program goals.
• Support and promote excellent customer service.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

In this role, the Medical Assistantwill:

• Perform high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Injection administration
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
• Provide pre and post op education
• Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
• Work independently to assure the program goals are achieved
• Support and promote excellence in customer service

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Strong phlebotomy skills required
• High School diploma
• Completion of a formal MA program; preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
