Job summary

US Fertility, Clear Lake, Texas, seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Shady Grove Fertility team. You will perform phlebotomy, manage lab specimens, support physicians and ultrasound staff, and educate patients throughout treatment steps.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for anMedical Assistant to join our team atShady Grove Fertilityin Clear Lake, Texas.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; weekend and holiday rotations

In this role, theMedical Assistantwill:

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Assist physician or ultrasound technician with various procedure
• Assist with HSGs as needed
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Assists with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Provides patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
• Provides pre and post op education
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
• Works independently to assure the program goals are achieved
• Support and promote excellence in customer service
• Administrative tasks, prior authorizations, etc.
